Robert J. Hines Financial Advisor and Assistant Investment Advisor Email Bob Bob works closely with the firm’s principals in all phases of financial planning and investment management. He updates accounts for comparison to target asset allocations and assists in processing trades and monitoring accounts. In the planning phase, Bob helps to develop retirement and cash flow projections, and prepare Investment Policy Statements.  In addition to portfolio rebalancing and account supervision, Bob takes on a range of special projects for Droms Strauss, such as evaluating new software and developing graphic presentations that enhance client communication. A candidate for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Board certification, Bob has passed the examination to become a certified practitioner, and will qualify upon completing his practical experience requirements. Prior to joining Droms Strauss Advisors in 2007, Bob taught business and personal finance classes for six years at the high school level. He appreciates that he is still in “teaching” to some degree by helping educate DSA clients in various areas of financial planning. Outside the office, Bob serves as treasurer of the St. Margaret of Scotland Housing Corporation Board of Directors, which is engaged in the revitalization of the Shaw neighborhood in downtown St. Louis. As part of the board, he helps acquire properties and appropriate grants from the city, selecting contractors for rehab work on buildings in the historic district.
