Dr. William G. Droms, CFA Co-Chairman Email Bill
He's truly a thought leader in the field having developed and published the risk tolerance questionnaire and asset allocation system (the Portfolio Allocation Scoring System) first published in The 1984 Dow Jones-Irwin Mutual Fund Yearbook. Bill's original risk tolerance work has now been broadly adopted and adapted by many major banks, CPA and investment firms.
Bill brings an unparalleled set of skills, experience, and academic foundation to his work at Droms Strauss Advisors. He holds a doctorate in business administration (DBA) and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is the Powers Professor of Finance in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University where he has taught finance and investments to undergraduate and MBA students for over 30 years.
The teaching environment ensures Bill's continuous learning from the latest academic investment research, often for consideration in his course curriculum, and inspires him to regularly identify and explore new theories and approaches.
Bill has been widely quoted on investment management topics in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Money magazine, Baltimore Sun, and the Chronicle of Higher Education.
